Timbersled KMOD swap

Just throwing this out there. Ive had a timbersled mtn tamer on my last 3 sleds. the new Mtn tamer with the quick coupler adjustment knob is amazing. Ive heard alot about the kmod and how well it works. Ive never been around a KMOD and quite frankly id like to. So what im getting at it is there anyone out there that has experience with the KMOD but not the timbersled and wants to give it a shot. Looking at swapping skids with someone for a set amount of time then swapping back. Only thing is it will have to be for a 162 and include rails. My timbersled has Fox Float EVOL R on the rear and Float 2 on the front with Bomber Rails. Im in Ranchester wyoming and would be willing to do the switch on both sleds.

I've had both on the same Turbo Nytro sled. Timber is nice but Kmod is the way to go in my opinion. Hands down.

It doesn't, alternate holes must be drilled using the supplied template to install the KMOD rear arm in the OEM drop brackets.

Ah didnt realize they wouldnt bolt up in the same location. Well that sucks. I dont really feel like dropping $2500 just to see if the KMOD is better.

Hypothetical question, you found someone willing to do the swap and so on. You send their skid back in the same shape you got it, but yours comes back damaged, such as bent rails, broken parts, blown shocks and so on. What then????

I would never send my KMOD w/Raptors (or Mtn Tamer if I still had one) to anyone to try out.

There would be a written and signed contract of course. And it would have to be some fairly close to do the swap, unless someone was so kind to send me there kmod to just put some miles on and do a comparison

Nope forget that, too easy! LOL
I agree on that one. Find someone and do a all day sled switch ride. Paying for anything either of you breaks or wrecks of course.

Neat idea, but I doubt many people would give up their Kmod. I sure won't!

Id like to ride a kmod as well but like ive said never seen one on the hill. I also dont think you can get a good idea on riding the sled for a few minutes. Now if you could switch with someone for a weekend and ride them back to back over all kinds of terrain that would be perfect. Dont get me wrong i like the timbersled just curious about the kmod. Ive had a billet m10 as well and so far i like the new timbersled the best. Maybe someday ill run into someone with a kmod

I did the same thing got rid of the mt tamer and went to kmod! I couldn't be happier.

I have been saving to buy a Timbersled and was planing on buying in the next month.

What does the Kmod do better than the Timbersled?

Thanks in advance.

I would make sure they have tried the new style Timbersled before you get an opinion... I have the older style (2011) Timbersled in my Nytro and was never too impressed... I have heard the new Timbersled is quite a bit better

I am planning on being at bear lodge in two weeks if you want to meet up. We have two hm turbos 2013 pros one with new Kmod and one has all timber sled front and rear. Kmod has cmx front end.

If the snow is good there we will be there the weekend of the 16th. We have been there yet this because Cooke has had way better snow. Looking forward to getting back to the horns.

I have a very naive question regarding the K-Mod- isn't this just basically a Holz suspension with limiter blocks positioned behind the scissor arm, and the latest in shock technology?
