this wheel kit is well built, incredibly easy to instal and in tight spaces allows the bike to be moved by lifting the rear bumper and steering or ride it up the ramp, into the trailer!!!
Sweet deal.

Thanks yukondood!

As we mentioned before, once we are happy with the product we will release it. We have been building and riding our stuff for 24 months now.

Some of the products have been tough to nail, and a few of them we have thought we were 100% right on the money until the snow conditions changed etc, its been a great winter for testing all conditions.

We did have a few MAXKEEL ski's out to test early and a few customers got them to try but we have not released the ski until we have the final CNC trim pattern right for all snow conditions, powder, trail ice, slush, and the crusty snow.

The ski was very hard to ride in the crunch, crusted snow, it was too aggressive. The 10 or so customers who have got the first ski's will receive a new ski for free.

We have done many "blind" riding tests now, and the results have been great! We again have learned more on ski design. It has been a lot of fun, building so many projects at once. Considering the YETI kit, all 4 lengths, designing all new parts, a ski, a track and all the other business stuff!

We are 95% there on the ski now, we have lots of people waiting. Thanks for your patience.

We will be going to the Silver Star Hill Climb in Vernon BC with a trailer load of YETI's and all four models for guys to ride and look at. We are jacked!!

All I can say, is that going straight up chutes is not for turbo sleds anymore, we have YETI's that can hang with any turbo sled, anywhere, lol.
How about 75mph straight up a chute in 5th, in a wheelie? LMAO!!

Going to be fun there! APRIL 10th, 11, 12th.

See you all there

Looks great! Once the bracket is installed, curious how easy it is to put the wheels on and off by yourself when the bike is not on a lift. Can you explain the technique or show it in a quick video? (no need for elaborate post production).

And is it correct that if you have another person to lean it over far one way, there is enough clearance to put on one wheel then lean it the other way to put on the other side?

Just trying to picture using this real world trailside vs. in the shop on the lift. Hoping I'm making this more difficult in my head that it really is. Ha. Because I sure like the idea of the large diameter wheels and the way you can steer this 2 wheel kit vs. a 4 wheel kit which tends to track straight. Thanks!

Just as Chad says...

I typically ride solo, leaving from my garage i have less than 1 km of paved roads before i can get to the snow.

Easy to leave the garage w/ my current home made dolly (knock off of the normal 4 wheel ones like TS's kit). I get to the snow, it's fairly easy to get the ski off this dolly and i strap it to the back tunnel.

When finished my riding, take 5-10 minutes of light wrestling to get the ski back up on the dolly and i ride/walk the bike back on the pavement to my house.

I love the looks of this C3 kit, but not sure how I could go about mounting this without a lift, solo, on the side of a road.

entirely possible that it was never designed for this situation, but no harm in asking if you had thoughts on it

How well does this wheel kit work on a typical dirt road in the forest? Looking for a good way to access the high country for spring riding.

Also, how much clearance is there below the center skag to the ground when up on the wheels? Not much needed for around the shop or loading, but if one were going to use it for dirt or mud trails in the spring as "more snow" mentions, clearance height would be of interest. Thanks.

Exactly what i was wondering. need a good picture and a measurement.

The nice thing about a two wheel kit is if there is not enough ground clearance with this wheel size, theoretically, a much taller wheel/tire combo could be used though the one-person wheel fitment would likely get more difficult the tall the wheel diameter. But larger diameter would mean even easier rolling over rough terrain. Of course, then the extra stress of trail riding might tax the strength of the bracket and axle if it was primarily designed for shop and driveway use. Will be interested in hearing from C3.

Hi All,

Sorry for the delay, we are just getting ready to head to "YAMAFEST" here in Revelstoke BC this weekend.

Going to be a great weekend for lots of riding and it sounds like the guys from Timbersled are coming so we are excited to meet up and ride with them.

Anyhow, good questions.

It takes about 30 seconds by yourself to put the FREEWHEEL kit on. It is very easy, and shame on us for not putting that in the video.

Basically, you turn the bars to one side, lean the bike, and get the wheel in the air, loosen the big plastic nut, pull the wheel off, and remove the steel axle adaptor. Then you turn the bars in the other direction, put the weight of the bike on the edge of the front ski ( the side where you just pulled out the wheel) and pull on the wheel and the rest comes out. Done.

As long as there is no load on the parts you are trying to remove, it is very quick. After you use it a couple of times, you can do it your self in less than a min. We will shoot a quick video tomorrow and post on our YETI SNOW MX YouTube account.

We did not make it to ride up the muddy trails. We aimed at keeping it strong and useful to load your bike and help you get around your yard and into your trailer etc. We could make one a lot more HD for ripping but at that point might as well put your front wheel on, and back pack your ski.

The goal was making it easy to get your bike around, and keep the price low, which is around $300 USA $ after exchange.

We have ridden them up ramps into the back of the truck and stuff like that.

The centre skag is about 2" off the ground on the TS ski, with the FREEWHEEL kit on.

Sorry for the sideways photo, my iphoto is getting an update, but this is the quick look.

Thanks

Great info! Thanks for the update. Enjoy yamafest!

I purchased a C3 Wheel kit and I had it mounted to my bike in under 5 minutes. I could not believe how easy it was to move my bike around the garage once I had it mounted. Great product!!
