Timbersled Cold air Kit

Has anyone tried one of these lately. I have an 05 rev. Work or not?

Works well as long as you have adequate venting. If you don't have vents on the hood or side panels don't bother...however if your sled is vented its worth it. You wouldn't have to buy the timbersled kit. just get some kickass or K&N filters. I bought the timbersled kit and never even installed the metal cover/shroud, its not needed, especially if you run the filters with a pre-mesh sleeve.

never tried them, the guy who had my sled before me had that kit on and he hated it and took it back off. right around 75% of the people on here will tell you to stay clear and the other 25, they work out for. far as im concerned, my stock one works great and its a waste of money.

Don't see the advantage. Even if you are vented well the air you are sucking from inside is still warmer than you'd get from outside, plus you could pull in steam if there is any melting going on under the hood.

Get a set of 07 airboxes.

X2 on the 07 air box. Pods are a wast of money. I have ran the pods with some success but they are a pains in the azz to tune plus have to run stupid big jets..07 box performs the best sofar

Have the intake setup on my '04-- no complaints. I went up one jet size, raised the needle one position, and have the fuel screws at one 1 turn. Oil delete also so there is better air flow around the filters. Runs great. No more deep snow bogging. Worked well w/ my twin pipes also.

Never tried the 07 box because I figured I would still have deep snow bogging issues. I tried the SLP intake and I plugged it before the stock intake.

running the slp intake, and prefilter on the stock one as well, rode in 4 to 5 ft of fresh powder last year not one bog problem. the ole 144 i used to have barley moved haha
