I bought a used 137 on kijiji this summer. Buddy said it came off a Husky 570. It looked to be in good shape. It had inside bushings and I didn't check too closely because I figured I needed a fit kit anyways. I looked it up on timbersled site and it said it would fit with that kit so I tried it. Well, there were some washers for spacers and only inside bushings that only went half way through the tube of the frame. The spindle didn't fit either. So I went and bought the proper fit kit. It still doesn't fit right.
There is no room on the outside of the frame for bushings. The frame just fits inside the bike frame. The left bushing would fit if I put it on the INSIDE of the track frame. The right side will not fit a bushing on the outside either. That side has 2 bushings but it would need a single thicker bushing like the right side has and it would need to go on the inside in order to fit.
Long story short, the frame measures 8 1/2 inches across. This fits perfectly in the bike frame but no room for outside bushings. My ST120 on my KX120 measures 8 3/8 inches.
Anyone heard of this before? Any ideas on what to do? I'll call timbersled today, but Imy thinking either order another left side bushing for the right side or go to a machine shop and get them move back in.
Thanks!
