I have noticed a big diffference with the Barkbuster up front. Turns much tighter and really takes away from the twitchiness of the Nytro on the trails leading to the deep stuff. Just my two cents.
Yah, I have the Timbersled Barkbuster. I think it turn 12 degrees sharper according to Allen. It turns so tight that it almost throws you off a bit. With the funky steering geometry of the stock Nytro it is almost a little to tight. I relocated my steering post so hopefully I won't be jabbing the handlebars into my leg when I turn all the way to one side or the other. I only put about 200 miles on it but so far I like it.
There is an update to the Nytro spindles. Please feel free to call anytime and we will figure out if you have updated spindles or not. If you do not you can send them in before snow flies and we will update them free of charge. Thank you, Budd
The strap that caps the top of the spindle should measure close to a 1/4" thick. This is the piece that the upper A-Arm rod end attaches too. The early ones were 1/8" thick. There has been a small percentage that have been bent so the up grade is optional not mandatory. Thanks, Budd
Is that update available on all barkbuster front ends? I have it on an '04 rx-1 and I know the top straps are approximately 1/8" thick. I love the front end, but have had to send it in to have them straightened before.
The up date is for bent Nytro spindles. If you have abnormal wear issues with your RX-1 kit and would like us to have a look at it please send it in. Thank you, Budd
when did you start doing the update? was it 1 month ago? 3 months ago? 6 months? bought mine in February was told the rear skid had all the 2009 updates, but did not know about the front stuff...
