Tile prices

I have a guy that wants an estimate per sq. foot to lay tile. Just wondering if anyone does tile and has a sq. ft price or knows what ppl charge?

$4 a square ft include mud and grout underlayment. is my parents payed a couple years ago

i thought it was high. but i do all my own tile and didn't have time to do it for them

depends on a lot of variables, including tile size, amount of cuts, etc. For 18" tile I am getting $4/sq ft plus $1/sq ft for backer board.

Depending on how bad I've needed the money or how complex the tile job is I've done it between $4.50-$6.50/sq. ft. Probably varies a little too by area you're in. We've been all over E. Idaho with those prices. If the layout is fairly simple with a lot of square footage going down in price isn't as hard. A person still has to make it worth their time though.

are these prices you get just labor or include the thin set and grout, Backer?
