Tiger Woods becomes 1st billionaire athlete

Here's Tiger's off-day workout regimen...you probably won't find many old, fat guys doing this every day...

6:30 a.m. - One hour of cardio. Choice between endurance runs, sprints or biking.

7:30 a.m. - One hour of lower weight training. 60-70 percent of normal lifting weight, high reps and multiple sets.

8:30 a.m. - High protein/low-fat breakfast. Typically includes egg-white omelet with vegetables.

9:00 a.m. - Two hours on the golf course. Hit on the range and work on swing.

11:00 a.m. - Practice putting for 30 minutes to an hour.

Noon - Play nine holes.

1:30 p.m. - High protein/low-fat lunch. Typically includes grilled chicken or fish, salad and vegetables.

2:00 p.m. - Three-to-four hours on the golf course. Work on swing, short game and occasionally play another nine holes.

6:30 p.m. - 30 minutes of upper weight training. High reps.

7:00 p.m. - Dinner and rest.

What a wuss, a "real" athlete would do all of this before noon, like a football player, or a baseball player, or a . . . Ohhh wait they don't train nearly this hard. The guys that proclaim that he is not an athlete are the weekend hacks or softball/bowler knuckleheads. He is an athlete, get over it, saying he's not an athlete is like saying that Lance Armstrong isn't an athlete because all he does is ride a bike.

When are you guys going to realize that riding in golf carts, drinking beer and whacking the ball around doesn't give you the right to decide whether golf is a sport or not?

I can't help but get the feeling some of you think because you can get the ball up in the air and hit it 100 yards down the fairway means it's not a sport. The way the average hacker swings it doesn't require hardly any athletic ability, but their swing and the swing of a Tour Pro are polar opposites.

I want somebody here to post a video of their golf swing and we'll compare it to Tiger's, we'll see how much of an athlete he is.

I cannot think of any sport/game/whatever that separates a rookie vs. a Pro more than golf.

Never saw a true professional golfer riding a cart and hoisting a beer to two.

like i said, Asprin tablet vs ball laying on ground...also hitting round ball with round stick vs hitting round ball with square club face.

You are missing the point or just being stubborn, golf is a sport as much as any other.
