Ended up coming over Tiger pass last night around 1:30 in the morning. There was quite a bit of snow up there, about 7 inches or so. Snow started showing from Kent and just increased all the way up.
About maybe a mile or less from the top of the pass, the road was blocked from some trees that couldn't handle the snow load. Me and a bunch of guys got out and moved them as best we could, but it was a little difficult. As we were trying to move one by hand, two more came down right next to us! Wowza...
Ended up getting past them, and hooked on to the trees with the Jeep and pulled them off the road. I had to do that to 3 of them, before it was finally clear enough for the semi and the rest to get past.
Oh, semi driver was a lady. I asked her what she wanted to do, try and get past and what not, before I had them moved out of the way. She asked me what I thought... I replied "It is not my truck, I can't make that decision", she replied "It is not mine either" nice! lol
There was one car full of younger kids (maybe a little drunk) that came out and tried to help, but started taking pictures and being amazed at the fact they could stand in the middle of a highway... Didn't realize that if that semi didn't get moving quickly, it might end up in trouble.
Just as we almost got done, the plow crews came down the other side of the pass and stopped to give us a hand. It was interesting to see the whole highway stopped, and all the cars backed up in both directions to remove the trees..
Good stuff, and it was fricken awesome to drive in snow again. I love that sh!t. To bad there is no snow in Fog City....
