I used to think the same way you do about the nytro. I kept thinking the sled was too heavy and under powered. After thousands of dollars and many pounds later I still was unhappy. The sled still handled heavy and I was wiped after a days riding. Then the lightbulb lit and I realized it was never the weight, but how the weight was distributed. When you look at the sled all the weight is directly over the skis. The motor, the gas tank, and the rider are directly over the skis. The rider forward movement screwed up the weight distribution. Suddenly 80% of the sleds weight was on the skis. No wonder it's hard to steer. No surprise I'm wiped at the end of the day. Then an innovative company like Skinz finally figured it out. Move the weight back by moving the skis forward. Add more pressure to the front center shock on the skid to lighten the ski pressure. Suddenly the front skis have much less weight and the handling lightened up tremendously. Add the fact that they also figured the geometry to improve the sleds handling and there you have it. No weight removal needed to "lighten" the sled. Just better weight distribution. Add the fact that you really need a good rear skid and 162" track and you have a great sled for little money.
I've tried every cool new light weight product for the nytro and none made the difference this new front end has made. Just my 10 cents worth.
