Thumbwarmer Short? Troubleshooting? Blow up?

All,

My thumbwarmer on my 2009 Polaris Dragon RMK 800 163" is not working. I don't really care that much about the thumbwarmer I am just trying to to make everything 100 percent functional on my sled because I am over-paranoid / OCD about blowing it up again.

Does anybody have a wiring diagram? What do I need to do to troubleshoot it? I just visually verified that the wires were connected from the thumbwarmer back to the wiring harness. What voltages would I look for on the multimeter?

Could it have anything to do with a grounding issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey i was just browsing some old threads when i came across this one. I just fixed my thumb warmer on my 2009 Assault. One of the wires had separated from the heating element in the thumb trigger. actually the wire didnt break free the actual element separated or delaminated. i just soldered it all back together and bingo i had heat.
I know this is an old post and you probably got her all fixed up but you never know.:face-icon-small-ton
