Throttle is Stuck

My wife's sled (2006 M7) has a totally siezed throttle. Not sure what is up with it as I haven't really looked at it yet. It seems that the cable is not sliding at all in the sheath. Anyone had any experience with this? Is it something that happens to M series sleds often.

I am thinking either the cable is jammed or there is a return spring somewhere that is not pulling the cable.

Any thoughts, I am going to tear into it tonight and see whats what.

Inside of cable has a teflon liner. Some time it has got hot enough to melt it and when it cooled off it locked the cable up. Been through three of them myself.

Had this happen too. If the clip that holds the throttle cable down as it bends to go to the throttle bodies breaks, the cable will go up and hit the pipe and the housing will melt. Also, every M sled I have been around has broken the throttle cable right at the throttle body end between 2500 and 4000 miles. Change it often, it is a pain to jury rig the remaining cable to ride out.

Fixed it, and I didn't see any broken wires or clips. It seems that the throttle bodies were froze or gummed up. A little WD40 and a little jiggling got them lose and things seems to be free now.

As a sidebar I have talked to a couple of other peeps since who have had the same problem.
