Throttle body install

I have a bunch of slack in my oiler cable and can't figure out why. Maybe just walk away and come back later and I'll see my mistake. No I don't have a FBF cable, I'm out of money that I budgeted for this project.

I'll check it and see if thats what it is. What kind of tension am I looking for on the spring? Can't bee very much I'm guessing. Does it cause more pull on the throttle?

I had the same problem. It appeared mine was stuck wide open for a period of time from the looks of it. I loosened the jam nut in front of the spring and sprayed some lube on the spring and on the cable. Got all the grime out of the way and cycled it ALOT and then tightened the nut back up. Also check the alignment of the cable going to the injector pump so that its pulling straight and not at an angle. This got me back on the snow. Hope it helps you too. :beer; cheers

If you need a FBF cable I might have one floating around here for cheap.

I appreciate the offer. I have enough money left to replenish my fluids and a stray nut or bolt and thats it. I figured it right down to the dollar and I didn't know how crappy the oiler cable was when I was putting my list together. The cable is still in good shape I just don't like the set-up, it is set-up for failure. I won't ride more than 10 times this winter so I should be good for the season. Thanks anyway though!
