Throttle body coolant lines

I got my 900 a little while ago and seen that the coolant lines that run into and out of the throttle body has been removed. The line from the coolant bottle has been capped off.. I tried finding out why this was done or if it mattered, but couldnt locate what I was looking for.. Can anyone tell me if this is going to be a big deal or can it be left alone if it doesnt matter? Is it common for this to be removed? Thanks for the info.

I betcha it is like that because someone busted the nipple off of the coolant bottle, and didn't want to buy and replace the coolant bottle. As far as does it need to be there, well, not sure. They are there to keep the throttle bodies from icing up in fine powder. Run it, and see what happens I guess.

lol funny how the nipple thing carrys over. yes the lines are there to help with icing in powdery snow. i think you could get away without the lines but it wouldn't be too hard to replace them.

I have the lines and the bottle does not have the nipple busted off.. They were intentionally removed and capped off.. Just wondering if it would cause any problems running it w/out them.. if it does, I can always just put them back on since they were included with the sled.

SLP makes an aftermarket head and it requires removal of those coolant lines so you should be ok to run without them.

Dont worry about it the t-bodys get way more radiant heatfrom the exhaust than that dinky line could ever hope hope to supply. Thats another brilliant piece of engineering like the motor mounts.

Thanks guys!! I was told when I got the sled not to worry about it, but figured I would ask the experts for the proper advise!!!:D:beer;:beer;
