Thoughts?? Rush seat on a Pro

I really like the way the Rush seat looks on Fastrax's Pro build and how it tapers to more of a point. I'm wondering if it would work with the Pro gas tank. Obviously some fab work might need to be done for the support, but I don't think it would be too difficult. What are your thoughts/opinions? Thanks!!

One of the thoughts i had ... With the Skins Seat..

Was at the end of the day.. Really Windy.. Heading Back to the truck.. Bumpy trail.... Trying to hide behind the small windshield/body... You will need to carry a Nut Cup! Because the rear of the seat is narrow..! Ouch!

So.. yea.. your just going to have to weigh the pro's and con's..

My .o2!

I believe that one of the 2012 snowcheck options for the Pro RMK was the wider Rush seat. If that was the case then all you should have to do is to buy that seat.

Two Polaris Factory seat options on the 2012 snowchecks...There were no seat options on the 2011's

1) Normal PRO RMK
2) PRO Switchback (shorter/wider)

Aftermarket seats avail are
1) Skinz Protective Gear Airframe seats. With some different choices on height and color. Custom order. Give yourself at least 3 month lead time for custom orders on this. (a bit lighter than stock)
2) WRP modified factory seat in +3 and -1.5" sizes (a bit heavier than stock)
3) Boss seat, wider and taller than stock. (a bit lighter than stock)
4) Mountain Mod Seats, Higher/wider than stock about the same weight as stock)
5) R&M Lightning seat (more storage space, wider and taller than stock, about the same weight as stock)

I don't believe that the Rush seat will work on the PRO RMK.

The fuel tanks are much different under the seat. Curts FTX Custom pro STARTED as a Rush and used the much different rush fuel tank and a custom tig welded tubular seat support frame to replace the seat support that is integral to the rear suspension upper carriage. The seat itself needs a "cradle" to support it... it cannot simply "bridge the gap"

The seats must fit exactly onto the tank... the tank is part of the support for the seat...And I don't believe that the front of the Rush seat is the correct shape.

IMO... The seat is a function of what kind of riding you do. If you sit more than stand or stand more than sit... If you are athletic in your riding jumping from side to side on the sled or stay centered more and shift your weight. The seat can be a place of comfort or something to sit on when you are eating lunch. IMO, for athletic riding, the seat should get in the way as little as possible. If you are a taller rider with longer legs, the stocker gets in the way less than if you are a shorter rider. The wider seats can also affect how the running boards feel. I'm shorter, the running boards feel narrower because my legs have to be spread more than a taller rider on the same seat.

Thanks guys for all the info. I assumed it might be a stretch. The stock seat is actually pretty good, but I think summer affects my judgement and I look for stuff I can tinker with...haha.
