Found an enclosed trailer for a really good deal. It looks well made, but Im curious of your guys thoughts? Doesn't look like it would weight too much. Guts selling it for $1500obo what do you guys think?

can it fit 4 sleds? if so its a great deal. even if it can fit 3.

might be a little heavy though if its got a steel frame, and hopefully it isnt rusty underneath.

Talked to the guy and he said it was an old travel trailer that he made into a trailer for his construction company. I think my biggest concern is the weight, I dont want some crazy heavy trailer that my truck can barely move.

Take it for a test drive! Got brakes or you could add some $$. Dual axle will help with weight.

sounds like you need a better truck Mike ;)

Right now I have an 84 3/4 ton 4x4 that is quite an animal. However Id really want the trail so I could tow it behind our 34ft class A motorhome, so we have somewhere to work on the sleds and dry out our gear etc. Plus I just got a 2013 Pro (My first properly new anything) and the idea of just having a permanent covered home for it seems smart.

It doesnt "look" like it would be that heavy judging from these pics. But then again I cant really tell what he used for the walls, if anything. Being that it was a travel trailer, I would think now it would be lighter if anything right? No kitchen, shower, bed, etc etc. But I could definitely be wrong. I might just have to go and take a gander at it. Its quite a drive and a ferry ride away, so just trying to make sure its worth it before I spend the time.

I don't think you could build it for 1500 bucks. Buy it, use it until you find another you like more. Then sell it, I doubt you would loose any money on the deal.

Thats a really good point. Well looks like Im going to be headed over to check this thing out. Ill let ya know how it all goes!

Cheers,

Mike
