thoughts on cheaper pingel tether.

hey i want to put a tether for safety sake and i need one for some snow drags. pingle makes a nice tether but at well over 100 bucks no thanks for now. pingel makes this tether thats much cheaper. good bang for the buck? or will it just be a handlebar ornament?

if its for your apex.. get one from a 96 or older cat. there like $23 at the AC dealer, stupid easy to insall.. and they work every time i fall off. i mounted mine in the riser block.. just needs a little flat surface to go on.

nice. why 96 or older? is it because they still had batteries running efi i suppose?

The one for 23.00 works good but try to use it for emergency situations only and don't use it to turn the sled on and off daily. If it's the type with the little red cap, they end up cracking and having issues at the worst times. A group of about 4 or 5 of us had these and they all started having issues of cutting out the sled in the trees or climbing a hill, nothing worse then counting on the power of your sled and having it cut out because the tether. I replaced the red cap once a year for a while and this year went wit the one that OFT offers and it works great.
