I know this is a sled forum but it is also a utah forum and we lost a rider on friday night."WEST VALLEY CITY - Rocky and Belinda Emerson say their son has been riding motocross since he was four years old. The boy, Logan Emerson, was competeing in the races Friday night at Rocky Mountain Raceway when he died in a motorcycle accident. At about 1:00 a.m., the boy overshot what's called a "tabletop jump" and went over the landing. By overshooting the obstacle, he couldn't slow down and crashed into the side barrier. His parents say he was wearing all the required safety equipment." Up until recently with knee injuries I have been very very active in racing and helping out in the motocross racing in Utah. This freak accident shows you how things can happen when you never expect it. I personally have made and over shot the very same jump and it is hard to know that even the best riders can go down. So to everyone on here love the ones closes to you and let them know it My 3 year old is starting out on his first 50 and I just cant imagine something like this. My wife tells me that watching me wreck she never knew if I was going to stand up and walk away and being someone who has had his life changed by a big wreck makes me think about life. Just had to vent guys avy death or racing death we all lose out on someone.

from friends who were at the race this is the jump.
