Thoughts and prayers go out to the Muchmore family

T
At the St. Anthony sand dunes saturday afternoon Randy Muchmore was racing up thunder mountain when for some reason he went over the the top. anybody who has been to thunder knows that it is a razor back and almost as steep on the other side. He was found 200 feet down on the other side. He was airlifted to Idaho Falls where he remains in the ICU some what stabilized. The word I got which is second or third hand is that he is not doing well and is not out of the woods yet. He suffered many broken bones and internal injuries.

For anybody who doesn't know who the Muchmores are, they own K&T performance. They build some of the fastest Banshee's on the planet. Doing90-100mph up this hill wasn't abnormal with these guys. Best of luck to ya Randy, and I hope you make it through this. :face-icon-small-sad

I hate to hear this

Dang-it I hate to hear this.:brokenheart:

I had Kim (Randys dad) help me with my Banshee project back in the mid 90's

Prayers and hopes for a speedy recovery go to Randy and the Muchmore family.

That’s horrible. I work with a few of his relatives. I hope for a speedy recovery

They live in Roy Utah, anyone have an update on his condition?

They are some really nice people, my thoughts and prayers are with him.

:brokenheart:

Hope he pulls through I have been on Thunder and it is a steep drop on bolth sides sorry to hear that.

Word is Randy is still in a coma and things are not looking too good.

Any of you who know the family on a personal level, please let them know our hearts go out to them.

It's sad to see someone get hurt doing something they love so much, especially when they do it so well!

Randy you're in our family's prayers!

Here's a quote from a different forum that a friend of the family has been updating on:

I spoke with Kim for several minutes today, and am glad to say he seemed a little more optimistic after his visit with Randy's doctor today, and after an incident which happened yesterday.

Apparently, they were lowering Randy's meds to wake him yesterday, so they could check his responces on his right side, (the side with the broken arm, pelvis, and ribs), when he started to wake up he started to "strain against the nurse" who was holding his left arm.....when he..."kind-of took a swing at me with his right arm", (the nurses words...not mine).....Kim said he questioned, "but that is the injured arm" and the nurse said...."I know...that's why I wasn't expecting it"..... grin ...now THAT'S Randy.... grin

They found out what they needed to know about his right side control, and put him back on the meds to allow him to sleep while he is recovering for a few more days.....but that sounds like better news to me!

Keep him, (and the family), in your thoughts and prayers....if I hear any more I'll let you guys know.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but it sounds like he's starting to pull through... we'll be rooting for him. I grew up only a few hours from St. Anthony but I've never been there... I need to put that on my to-do list.

Randy

Kim, I know your boys are strong, I think about all the kind things you and your family have done for me, my thoughts and my prayers are with the muchmore family. GOD SPEED RANDY'S RECOVERY.::face-icon-small-coo
