thottle slide travel

I checked the throttle slide travel on my 2000 Summit 700. The slides don't go high enough when the throttle lever is fully depressed. If I adjust the cable to get the slides high enough, then they don't close properly. It's almost as thought the throttle lever does not travel fare enough. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I tried to search the old forum for this topic. I can't get any search results. It would be unformtunate to lose access to all the old posts...lot's of infromation in them.

Thanks again.

I'm not a doo man but a carb is still a carb no matter what sled it's on. Did doo change the throttle flipper on the different models between the round slide and flat slide carb? It sounds like there could be a difference in the pivot point to the lug placement. If the carbs or the flipper were changed that could be the problem. Just an un-educated guess. I have noticed a lot of post on the doo forum go unanswered
