Has anyone heard how the snow is in thompson pass. Iknow it has been windy. I am headn down this week. I am a virgin to that area.. Where are the best spots to unload?

The race is on!! The course is going to be a good time.
The weather service reported that a super low is coming in and its going to leave aprooximately 2-3 feet in a couple days.
I will post more information. You can also go to the valdez snowmachine club and they are posting also..

How's the conditions in the backcountry?

it's ok. stay off the glacier's. We really got robbed this year. You can ride. I'ts not epic but you can burn some fuel.

OK, I guess I'll start de-winterizing the motorhome! Arctic Man turned out some epic snow, so hoping that translates to Thompson Pass also! Wooohooo. Thanks Spook, keep us posted!

Great snow
Rode the pass 2 days ago, best riding of the year on worthington side of rode up high, 2 ft pow, dropped into tasnia valeey of back side of girls, snow so 3-4 ft deep was awesome, love that new M-8. Broke off a small avelanche that could the guy behind me (he's Ok)there was no signs antwhere. Big storm yesterday, 2 ft in town, must be a ton up top. Ridng will be great for awhile depending on avy danger.
