This weather is awesome

Who else is loving 70s in November in the Denver area? For my line of work this is as good as it gets and I am far from complaining. The last time we had weather like this, it was a hammering spring.

Enjoy the sunshine, this is an abnormally wonderful fall so far.

Cheers

This weather sucks. Past decade I've always had at least a road ride by the first week of nov. Last year had a 2ft pow road ride in snowies on Oct 26th. Be lucky if we get a T-giving road ride this year. Weather pattern isnt gonna change till the 20th.

while I appreciate the optimism, wouldn't mind a little colder temps. The more mild things become, the more people want to move here! Need a good several cold fronts to keep people away. :face-icon-small-hap

It appears the seasons have shifted slightly, winter sticks around a little longer into the spring, but starts a little later as well. I just need to shift my expectations as well.

Or drive North.

I am also loving the weather. But I work outside so .....
But yes it's getting to be past time for some snow.

This weather is fabulous.

So excited that we won't get snow before thanksgiving. The mountains might get an inch. You can always go out and start your sled from time to time or drive on the grass. My hope is we don't get snow until after January 1. The spring will be a nasty one and I'm ok with that, actually encourage it.

Say whaaaaatt?? This isn't the gardening forum. Lol.

I'm getting really antsy for some snow so I can get out and ride through that "Break-in" tank ASAP... But honestly, not getting any snow yet should make for a more stable snowpack.

Usually it snows 1 or 2 big dumps in late October, then it gets warm and it all goes to faceted **** through the heat/cold cycles as fall turns to winter and that becomes the bottom layer that the rest of the snowpack sits on. This year we may actually have a shot at it snowing and staying cold and then continuing to snow with cold temps the whole way through January. If my "sciencing" is correct, we'll have a good consolidated base to work with. Maybe we'll even skip the dreaded February thaw that seems to happen.

Hopefully the pattern changes soon and it stays cold while we get a nice flow of moisture so we can at least get out and work off a little turkey dinner.

I remember riding in 2012 on thanksgiving and the snow sucked. road rides are lame. I like the deep pow, so let it be 80 for another month then hammer the **** out of us in January and on.

Love that it will be 78 the next 2 days, perfect weather to work outside in.

Any day on the snow is better than any day sitting at home. Be it a road ride or not. I ride from the 1st chance I can get on the snow to the last chance I can get on the snow. I always shoot for a 7-8 month season.

If you know certain areas well where there are no rocks and just meadows than early season pow turns are easy to find even with 18" of snow on the ground.

Screw this heat, you guys that like it need to get jet skis!

Can't even enjoy my mourning coffee, because I'm sweating bullets 10 minutes later cause it's so friggin hot!

It would be sad if we cancelled our traditional thanksgiving ride at Grand Mesa. Been there last 8 years in a row with sometimes road ride snow and sometimes 3 feet of fresh, still some time though but not looking good
