they say its supposed to be an average year, so compared to the last 3 it will seem like heaven:) actually need to get my lefty on and my scratchers mounted, that will be the extent of my mods for this year...

Last year did suck! The two before that were pretty epic around here, broke a 30 year old snowfall record in march 2012 150+" and 600" of total snow but I was too busy blowing up motors and getting towed out to enjoy it though. Average sounds just fine as long as it doesn't rain after every storm like last year!

you northern folks have had better weather, droughts for over a month at a time, rain, tons of hardpack. were the worst 3 winters in a row I can ever remember and I've been snowmobiling since the mid 90's!!!

thats right sandman
bull pucky man i hope we get slambed i want 15-20 feet above 5000'
haha come on remeber 94 or 95 where are those days i'm crossing my toes
i haven't seen Shasta in years :face-icon-small-sad

this one was took in 07, was the deeeeeepest snow I've ever ridden. snowed 2-3 feet a day for 4 days straight. they actually had to close 138 for 5 days to clean up all the downed trees and slides. snow was sluffing off the banks as you rode by. pinned all day long, every time you carved you had to wipe the pow off your goggles cause you couldn't see. one continuous facefull, absolutely loved it!!!

lowsnow in september would be ssswwweeeeeettttt!!! now i'm gonna have to start watching the radar and snotels. thanks for the headsup:)

They are calling for a few inchs, I'm already brainstorming which roads I'm going to ride. My last ride was a few weeks ago and ended up having to fish my new iqr out of a bottom of a pond.

Here's the good ol' days, late April 2012

I actually went back and checked the date on that last photo, that was actually the beginning of February!!! isn't that sad??? here's what april looked like at 5k, and this was the only pow I found...

My photo was at 6,500'. Crazy to think we're not that far a part with how much the snow levels vary. The snow did taper off fast below 6k but not as low as your photos!

Snow in the forecast this week!

we need the snow level to drop for this storm and drop a butt load of snow, about this deep would be good for a first ride...

here's a pic of how much digging we had to do to rescue the s&r guys:) I think this was the 3rd time we had to get them out. they should have given me the coat for all the energy I used up;) 4 stroke yami's are not the ideal rescue sleds!!!
