The Hawaii verdict came in the case of an 18-year-old high school student who fell to her death from a Maui hotel balcony.

Lauren Crossan, of Randolph, N.J., had traveled to Hawaii in 2004 with Susanne Sadler, Sadler's daughter, and another New Jersey cheerleader to perform in the halftime show of the Hula Bowl. Within hours of her arrival at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort, Crossan was seen drinking alcohol.

So some dumb *** cheer-slut decided to get drunk and do a backflip off a balcony and killed herself, and this is the other girls' mother's fault? What?

And the court awarded the "victim's" parents $700,000 because of their own daughter's stupidity .....?

Nevermind the fact that she was a legal adult when this happened ....?

If I volunteered to be a chaperone for my kid's prom, senior trip, or whatever I would seriously stalk and murder the parents of the idiot kid who screwed up if they tried to sue me. Seriously. I mean that is so f*cking ***-backwards it's not even funny. I mean I can see maybe being negligent in the case of babysitting a 10 year old or something, but highschool kids?

Face it, when you're in highschool nobody has any control over you, you are gonna do whatever you damn well please, even if that includes getting drunk an falling off a balcony and killing yourself, and NO ONE is responsible for that but you.
