This is prolly a really stupid question

Just wondering if there is any changes if you match up diffrent cans and diffrent pipes. Like an Slp pipe to a MBRP can. Does a Slp pipe work better with just the Slp can. Or does it really matter?
Prolly a dumb question but im just wondering...

there might be a slight difference in performance on a dyno but as far as noticable power i have never noticed anything. i ran an slp pipe/can combo, then slp pipe/cpi can, the cpi was lighter and quite a bit louder, never noticed a power difference. just my .02 cents but i doubt you would ever feel a power difference

I had a single pipe with the MBRP can on my 04 Escape. I like the MBRP can because it is lighter....the SLP is a tank, well it least it was then. My sled was pretty loud. I have twins now and it was probably louder than my twins. But...I liked the set up.

Bet you lunch and dinner you wouldn't be able to notice one bit of difference no matter what you mixed and matched in terms of performance. You obviously will notice a noice difference but no way on earth would you feel a performance difference.

I run a speedwerx pipe and mbrp can. They work great together. Here's the strange part. When I had just the can and stock pipe it was STUPID loud. After I put the speedwerx pipe on with the mbrp can it is actually tolerable. Go figure.

There are probably some SMALL differences but like everyone agree's - you probably won't be able to tell any performance difference by mixing and matching vs using the same company for both.

HUGE difference ya get that. I almost burned down just on a can. I had to rejet. I have a 600 HO RMK with a SLP single and HPS 700 Dragon can...Thank goodness fot detonation sensors!

on my ol' 05 900 rmk.. I ran slp pipe with cpi can.. never dyno'd back to back.. and the only real difference i could feel was maybe a little better throttle responce.. and the weight savings..

on an 05 900 RMK originally had SLP pipe can combo. Switched out with a Precision can for half a ride, then back to the SLP can. Top end seemed the same, but there was a huge difference in the bottom end an throttle response.
Bye bye to SLP can this year and hello Precision.
