thats what I thought, a 2005 1000 162" for 2900 and nothing wrong?

If there is a snowester who is interested in it, and wants to deal with the guy, I could go and take alook at if you want just to check the condition.

Saw the price this morning and thought I would try and help someone out on here if they are looking for one, if that is the actual price it won't be there for long....
 
If anyone is dealing with them I can go inspect it. This site is a local free site to post your stuff. If anyone wants to setup something with him, PM me and I will do my best to go take a look, but I will only go look if someone is serious about it.
 
i just picked up an rt 1000 this summer for 3500 with more miles, 2500 total, but only 1000 on a new motor. the thing has almost 2 grand in mods total, people cant seem to get rid of these things, im trying to convince my buddy to get a bigger sled, maybe he will get this.
 
I say its probably a scam, that is TOO low. He probably copied the ad from somewhere else, and posted it there. We get stuff like that all the time on the local Craigslist.
 
This ain't craigs list where you wont see it before you buy. It is in the same town as me, just a local sale site. I put stuff on there all the time, works great. I am going to try and call the guy tonight and see if I can arrange to go see it, anyone interested in it should let me know...
 
It is probably a scam. I found a 05-06 (cannot remember) 800 151" for $2900with like 1800 miles. I got some emails back but the guy never called me or gave me a phone number to call him, and when I asked for more pictures I got the same ones that were posted on the website that it was for sale on. The website said he was out east somewhere but then the guy said he was in Oregon. I am in MN and I figured for the price of the sled and gas it would cost to drive there and back - I would still be ahead. I was VERY skeptical of it at first but nothing never came out of it.
 
One of the reasons I couldguess this is that there are a lot oil workers in the area buying toys left and right. Sometimes you come across one that is leaving and can't take all the toys with, saw an add on there with a guy trying to sell his razr for about 3k, just cause no room on the way to Texas with him, was 2 hours late and saw the thing in person before the buyer could arrange pickup....

My Money is on SCAM

So turns out I contacted the guy about this as well and he says that he lives in Tallahassee FL and he would arrange delivery for me, and have it at my house in 4 or 5 days. As of 630 Saturday night he said it was still available. Something is fishy, and even funnier I am currently in Bismarck doing work and I would have taken it home with me. If I can track this dudes email and contact someone, Im thinking about pinning this guy with some fraud. Im a lawyer.
 
I think the sled community needs to know about this!!!!

I have been following this so called $2900 SkiDoo for awhile now and made the attempt to contact him view email to find out the details. After informing the guy I was interested this is what I received back from him...

I'm glad to see that you are still interested. The sled is in Tallahassee, FL. In order to ensure a smooth and fast transaction, I suggest that we use eBay to handle the exchange. Here's how it works: You will make a $2,900 deposit to eBay, they will hold it in a non interest bearing trust fund (not release it to me). This is a scam and I felt it important to warn the rest of the sledding community because there are plenty of us out there that buy used sleds and look for good deals and put alot of trust in people because we are all typically pretty good genuine people. I will be doing further investigation into this ad and if I can find or tract down a responsible party they will be held accountable for fraudelent and disceptive actions.
