Thinking of swapping tracks

So I am thinking of getting rid of this belt sander they call the Maverick and go to the challenger extreme on my Apex. My question is whats involved in swapping out a track on an 07 Apex Mountain? Big job? How long does it take you guys?:beer;:D

hmm

Takes two hours and 4 beers

If you've never done it before and have no help, give yourself more time than this.
I just did it for the first time and it took me 4 hours. I did make a couple of mistakes that cost me a little time and I was reading directions as I went.

Go to totallyamaha in the tech section and there are some pretty good instructions. You need to suspend the rear of the sled. You have to take out the skid(4 bolts), remove all front plastic, remove the brakes(brake and e-brake), remove the chaincase oil, cover, gears, tensioner, chain, and case. then remove the bearing from the pto side of the driveshaft, remove the secondary clutch, speedo gear and bearing(two set screws). Remove the driveshaft(push track up as high as possible and work the shaft out). It will get hung up on the track, but will come out. Reverse procedure and reassemble. The totallyamaha directions left out pulling the drive belt. Very difficult to do this after the driveshaft is loose from the chaincase and track. Do it first.
I'm sure I could do it in 2 hours now. Good luck.
