Thinking of pre-mixing oil...any requirements

I often wonder if it is wise to have an oil delivery system on these high hp motors....I have been adding a little oil to the gas every ride just in case and am thinking of eliminating the oiler all together. Any requirements?

I just remember "4 oz oil per gallon", yeah that's 30:1 as recommended for the UBR. Since I'm going so heavy on the oil I seldom bother to measure it.

I also add a few oz to the stock RMK just to be safer.

32:1 is what you want. If your running REDLINE oil I think they recommend 40:1.

Still gotta lube your water pump bearings. Aside from that, make a block off plate, cap the nozzles or pull them out and tap for plugs, and start mixing. Not sure if anyone has run w/o isoflex in the bearings... I asked BIG JOHN about it- he advised keeping the grease. Somebody was telling me the factory tried premix on all the bearings in the first series III race engine and it didn't work out so well. I don't know the truth of the matter. I've run for a few years on premix, but kept the greased bearings.

I don't use isoflex, I had my top case drilled and use the fat bearing crank. I have another bottom end that uses sealed fat bearings. Im using them on my BB 860 with nitrous with no problems. Mark at the sea doo clinin set me up.

Edit: I premix Redline at 32:1.

Should have asked this earlier but what sled are you premixing? SDI motors are a no-no for a straight premix. Injectors set in transfer ports so no fuel(or oil!!!)gets to the bottom end.
