Thinking of moving to BC

Thinking of moving to BC

So I've been thinking of moving to bc and i was wondering where would be a decent place to live that had some good riding nearby. I'm limited to options as I would have to be situated close to work. So here are my options.

KELOWNA, OLIVER, GRAND FORKS, CRESTON, TRAIL, CASTLEGAR, KASLO, PRINCETON, PENTICTON

I guess im just wondering which one of these places would provide the best riding, and a good summer outdoor lifestyle wouldn't hurt either.

Money any consideration?Kelowna is gonna be the most expensive place to live on that list.

im gonna go on a limb here, im guessing you work for fortis??? the only reason i could see kaslo worked into there.....awesome riding out of kaslo for sure...i was raised in kaslo, super cool place to live if you dont mind a sleepy town....awesome mtns, no crowds. my dad worked outta west kootenay power in kaslo for years.
same story in the summer, lots of tourists, but super mellow

well i don't work for fortis but those are the jobs i was looking at. that and city of penticton is also looking for a lineman. and as far as kelowna goes i think it might be a little to large of a place for me anyways.

does the north okanogan intrest you, Vernon area? closer to better riding sicamous, revy, hunters range etc...

just re read your post saying your limited cuz of work, vernon would leave you 40+/- min commute in to kelowna

well if you end up somewhere in the koots let me know and we shall rip it up!!!! my old man is operations manager??? in castlegar, i think thats his "title" anyways. and i know for sure they got a butt load of old farts retiring right now. good gigg though man, im jealous, definitly one of the highest paid jobs in interior bc without having 10 plus years of school....

I moved from Saskatchewan to the Okanogan Valley Lake Region, for november and december, and there is NO work at all. Absolutely none, UNLESS you have PAPERWORK! Tim Hortons needs two years experience, Walmart not even hiring anything other then high up office jobs, it's ridiculous. It's a beautiful place, love it, would really like to see during the summer, but there's no work from my experience.

Thanks, it defienately has treated me well, just startin to get a little sick of being on the road. Plus I've always wanted to try bc. The only problem is convincing the wife amd 6 month old to pack up shop and start over somewhere new.
