Thinking of becoming a sled deck dealer in Iowa any interest out there?

I am toying with the idea of becoming a dealer of sky hi sled decks. I am located in east central Iowa. I am just putting a feeler out to see if there would be much interest in this area. Price would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $2700 8x8 deck with beaver tail and ten foot ramp. Feedback much appreciated.

IMO Beavertail decks are not the way to go (any more)

For $2700 you are the price range of a Silver Lake Deck with expandable sides and 11 foot ramp.

Yeah I got the quote today from them on the cost of shipping from Canada to iowa. 500 per deck, pretty much shut that idea down, far to expensive after that. Thanks for the opinions guys.

Double check your quote on Silver Lake Decks... they are NOT built in Canada - they are built in Northern Idaho. I'm sure if you make a semi trailer order of decks they would be reasonable on shipping.
I really like my Silver Line Deck... never let me down. I like the ability to fold in the sides with one sled or during the week when I drive the truck without sleds.

I cannot see why someone in your area would buy one.
With the price of fuel, we try to keep 4 people in the truck on trips.
I don't see the logic in having a deck & pulling a 2 place.

Now if you live close to the riding, that's a different fox hunt altogether. I think it would be awesome.

I just think it would be a very limited market in iowa.

I'm being forced to downsize into a smaller house with a fraction of the lot size and storage space so a deck is perfect for what I'm looking to do. Storing an enclosed won't be an option in the future.
