hay guys i just bought a 13 pro and i have been eyeing some turbo kits. i was just looking for some input. i had a turbo on a four stroke yammy and it seemed like i worked on it a week for every day i rode it :face-icon-small-dis so i was just wondering what the reliability factor on the pro turbos is. the kits seem alot simpler, but thanks for your input :face-icon-small-ton

If they are set up right and tuned correctly you shouldn't see to many issues. i have a a turbo on both of my pros, one has 2000 miles and the other has 800 miles and they both have worked great, the only issue i had was a failed fuel regulator. There are alot of great kits on the market and alot of options, just choose wisely, and spend the extra money if needed. You get what you pay for.

sleds

We been selling boondocker and silber turbo kits for 3 years now, no issues so far other than ones that were caused by not routing and tying things down correct.

the new boondocker and silber kits are even better this year

If your looking for something you dont have to constantly adjust, go with the boondocker. They are the only way to go IMO.

The control box is superior to anything else out there in the 2-stroke turbo world. HM turbos runs the vipec stand alone, which is also a great option. But its the most expensive kit out there.

^^^^^X2.

My BD worked great last year. No problems and no messing with the box either. When I get another new sled I'll look at the HM/Vipec but if I don't do that I'll do another BD.

Million Dollar Question...

For most the guys in this part of the Snowest Forum...they know their stuff, and they also know a hell of a lot about tuning and more importantly, fine-tuning their sleds.

If you are a schlep like me, and the other 90percentile, it's a patience game.

I have owned a 2011 HM for a year and a half. Rips my arms out when I get it right...but if I wanted to just go boondock, it was tough on my limited capabilities - and more so - tough on my riding partners...as I was finicking a lot.

What HM's new Vi-pec system promises, or what PRECISION.E.F.I is trying to achieve...well it will revolutionise turbo sledding.

SO, if you have a mechanical mindframe, time to learn your ssytem and a love for doing so...any of these guys may very well be right about their opinions on Silber, Boondocker, HM etc.

If, like me, you want a "plug and play" system...maybe wait a couple of months....all will be known soon.

My HM comes in a few weeks...I tell it how it is. No sponsorships here (ha...possibly because I suck), but you will at least know how MY unit is working for an average layman.
