thinkin about movin to mt vernon/bham area

I currently live in utah and am thinking about taking a job in Bellingham. I have friends and family in the everette area but do not wanna commute that far. I have a dog but do not mind apartment living. I am 26 years old and would love to find a descent social scene. What area would you guys recommend? i would prefer a 30 min or less commute to bellingham. Thanks in advance!

If you like tie die and braided hair the hams the place for you,, if you are a little more conservative then further north. Depends on what type of social scene you want or are accustomed to. Bellingham is a nice place just a little too social for some. IE sledders......... With that said they do have a very good cat shop north west of town...

I moved to B'ham from Colorado in 2001 and haven't looked back. If you are lucky enough to land a job here i would go for it. The social scene in little ampsterham is pretty fun, good live music, college girls, hippies to stomp on, tons of active recreation oriented people. Small town feel with out the terrible traffic! Only place i would rather live is Revelstoke...but its only five hrs away!
