No, it doesn't need a rebuild, that's pretty much the way they started and sounded when they were new.
think it would start easier if i turned the pump up 1.5 flats?

Sounds just like my '05 6 liter. with 65,000 miles! (when it actually runs) If it wasn't a free company truck there ain't no way I would drive a ford!! Can't even count the number of times it has left me stranded.
Our 84 F-250 Farm Truck sounds just like that. We keep a can of ether behind the seat all the times for a reason....
when cold it was low on compression in 3 cyl's ( 250 200 175 ) and a rebuild kit for just rings and mains is a little over 600 bucks
oh and i went out today, started it up and let it warm up some then took the oil fill cap off. there was no blow by maybe even a little suction if any thing so thats good atleast its sealing

older brother has 3 7.3 na at the ranch, all about the same, he claims those cylinders that miss at startup are the good ones when the start to hit
just run until your oil psi strarts to drop or she strart to pop through a valve

well it gets really low on oil pressure im thinking of going out and making a video in a little.
