ok i had typed up a big thing but my inernet deceided to cut out. ok my exhaustsensor wire is melted like right through, so that is probably my problem. now because there is no fuses when there is a short to load like this, what will blow? voltage regulator? any ideas?

ya that last pic is useless lol. i tryed disconnecting the low oil sensor aswell, and everything on my handle bars is disconnected also.

i would just repair the wires no need to buy a new sensor then ride it and see if you get a check engine light. the ecu would be the component damaged by the shorting wires but i doubt it would because the ecu isn't sending power on the wires just looking at the resistance between the wires.

Just curious, What was the symptom that this caused? Running poorly, not running at all?

darn i guess i shoulda added hehehe. last year i drove it and my dash started cutting out then nothing at all, i didnt get a chance to run it till now. there is power getting to my head lights bulbs just to say glow, now this sensor shorted out i was already getting a check engine ight and i know its this sensor before this happened. if my ecu was fried would my sled still run? i was able to rev it and every thing.

so shouldnt these be made with fuses incase something common like a short happens t doesnt blow the ecu?

the wires to the temp sensor don't need a fuse.

as i explained earlier the computer is just looking at the resistance no power on the wires shorting should not affect the ecu.

ok well what would be the problem then? if my wires shorted out what did it blow? cause my dash doesnt work, but there is power getting to my headlights. is there a votage regulator? i already changed relay.

With the glowing at the head light it sounds like there is still a short. Its getting power just not full power.
Try disconecting the relay and check the voltage on the red wire. If its 12+disconected then the short is after the relay.
if its is less than 12 with relay disconected short is eather before relay or bad power supply.

wires

mine had a similar problem had the tin ring from the flywheel work its way out and was cutting the stator wires and and shorting things out eventualy it quit and would not start cut the wires right off
