going with a new clutch set up this year and can't remember who told me or how i ended going with 40*(team roller) with red w/black stripe spring. But I run great up to 3/4 throttle(around 7300 rpm) then anything after that it loads the motor up and i drop down to about 6300 rpms.

it feels like i am not able to pull my secondary set up, so i was think going to 38* or should i go lower?

also the primary is in perfect shape, and I threw lighter weights in just to see what it would do and nothing changed.

any thoughts?

02 800, twins, 500/490 jets. running around the 3k-6k mark.

Hadn't thought about it being way to fat though.

it also has vf3 reeds, air horn, 156 2 1/2 track. primary is black w/red stripe, started out with 66g weights. thinking of maybe going to a stiffer spring in the primary though.

Drop about 5 jet sizes to start. You are way way way fat.

You will probably end up with 64g weights, and jetted 430/440, maybe leaner. Thats where mine started to pull at and was still a bit rich at the same elevation.

Mine is an 03 800 so you do need to be richer than mine but.... at 0-4000' with race twins, ported and 3-6000' slp head I am running 360 mains!!! 420's it will run ok but very fat. You are running higher elev than me though so I would try somewhere around the 420-440 mark and try it again. I am running 66g weights so you may need 64's up higher. I am running the slp green/pink in the primary of 4 different 7 and 800ves twins with twins and love it.

i would start at 62g and a softer spring....140-300......03's use a richer needle and smaller mains...jet your 02 to 410-420's as suggested, polaris 62's can weigh as much as 62.8 grams, 64g is too much at altitude unless you go down the 165-340 road. Helix at 46-34. You will not be dissapointed.
