So in the process of converting my husky fe501 back to dirt.. it has the thermobob in it, is it okay to leave it in there or should i put the stock thermostat back in?

I know i know it killed me to take it apart, but my springs get real busy! Hopefully next year i can have 2 bikes one for dirt one for snow!

You can swap thermostats inside the thermonob housing. Thats what I do... 90c for winter 80c for summer

Asked them the same question, they said just leave it alone, it only brings the bike up to operating temperature quicker, it does not affect the max temp...

Personally I am going with a cooler stat for summer, but, yep, just leaving it on there...
