Theft security from factory

I Picked my new Pro up today and was told for $99.00 the dealer could download some software from the Polaris.

They said it was Polaris's new anti theft device, you could have it set to wear you need to punch a code in to get it to start or have it set where it will start but not rev enough to engage the clutch until you enter the code.

Now I have known you could just unplug the back of the ignition and it would run but they said this would stop that, Has anyone else heard of this or had it done and does it in fact work and fix Polaris's unplug and go sleds.


I only snapped one pic of her but hope to have more next month from Cooke

I read about this in my manual as well. My dealer didn't say anything about it. Humm? $99.00 seem a free charge shoudl be in order on this option? Has any one done this yet?

I thought about activating mine until I realized I'd have to punch in a code every time we stop for a break.

Dealer activated mine for free. To set it you start your sled, lock the parking brake, enter your code to activate the security. The sled will not rev over 3500 until you re-enter your code.

So, you don't have to enter the code every time unless you've activated it ? Hmmm, I should start wearing my glasses when I read my owner's manual. Thanks !

The dealer activated mine also, NC. and you don't have to enter the code every time, only when it is set.

The other really cool feature is that in the morning you can activate the system start your sled and walk away and when the engine reaches 120 degrees for 60 seconds it shuts off! So you can go out start it up go in eat get dressed whatever and the sled will warm up and shut down and then you come out fire it up deactivate the system and your sled is ready to rock & roll. The engine will be heat soaked and ready for lift off!

Sounds like it would be a good thing to have and use on certain occasions, now I need to get the fee waived by the sounds of it.
