The wife said I can buy a 2010 M8!!!

Stick with the standard. I ride with guys that have both the sno pro AND the standard. We sled swap all the time and guess what.....YOU CAN'T TELL A DAMNED BIT OF DIFFERENCE. I can climb just as high and as fast as a sno pro on a standard, and vice-versa. Save your cash man, seriously.

Keep your 08 1000, put a bumper kit on it, new 162 Challenger extreme, and a turbo, and your way ahead on cash and sled. If you don't like turbos, then do some engine mods, boss seat, lightweight hood, and your even further ahead on the cash. JMO

If you have to wait to sell you're 08, maybe you should plan on buying a 2012 M8, tough sells on sleds right now. Again, JMO

I have to agree. I have a pipe kit on my big kat, and I drove an 10 m8. It feels lighter, but I dont know if I could get rid of the 30 plus more power. That is just with a pipe kit. I have had zero probs with the 1000 and if I had to do it right now, get an 09 m1000 with 25 lbs less weight and all you need is a pipe kit. That will still be cheaper than the m8. Plus alot more fun. But I weigh 218.

my wife has a 09 M8, I have a 08 M1000 162-ported & pipes-hands down keep the 1000-this year put a push turbo on, I don"t think I'll sell this sled ever!!

I hope you can find one.........

It seems like they're in short supply. I'd like to pick one up before next season too. The '11's might have some sweet graphics.

Why is it hands down sno pro all you who think the fox floats on the front are sooooo worth the extra money? Just because it says sno pro on the side? just a bunch of suckers paying a bunch of extra cash to get the same sled that performs the same.

Get the SnoPro. HPS can sounds great and fit and finish is top-notch.

Just had to chime in.Price of a new sled is hard to swallow,If yours isnt paid for and you can get a crapload of coin for it then mabey go for it but if yours is paid for spend less on makeing yours run better,(money ahead)
About the HPS can,to much money for to little gain.
Dont get me wrong they run good and they are small but when your can comes apart like mine did because the guy that builds them cant weld or because he just is in to big of a hurry to slap them out and then you buy a new one and he acts like giveing you 5% off is going to make his kids go with out food for a month its hard to justify that extra cost for what you get. A aftermarket can should last a hole lot longer than 1200 miles on a sled. Have a 99 rmk with a SLP pipe and can that has over 4000 miles and 12 years and still as good as new other than the look.
Just dont think this owner cares about Quaility and customer service just takeing your money.
Still have a HPS can and it performes well but in a year or so when it comes apart I will not support his kids again.
Sorry just my rant but thought you should know about his quality.could have fixed it myself but didnt want to take the time without a can in peek season to send it in to get ceramic coated after I cut it open to fix the insides. Two more min. of his time and I would still have $300.00 bucks in my pocket and still the old can.
