The waterfall eats another machine!!

Had a blast riding Sunday. Got some great jumps in and some great laughs. Buddy rode right off the waterfall. He followed a fresh sled trak off it so he was oviously not the first of the day. No real injuries, just scuffed his tea bag on the bars alittle.

I love the pics of jumping, now I need to figure out how to set up the angle so my pics come out like those...Any tips? Where is the jump location @ Baker that your pics are taken at?

Generally Snowbyrd if you get close to the jump so the rider is going away from you will get the kind of shot you are looking for. That third pic is a perfect example, taken from the side and back a bit so you get alot of distant landscape in the background.

Very cool pics, with I had the nuts to go big like that!!

Picture angles

If you like that third picture I was about ten feet to the left of the lip and about ten feet ahead. I find the landing area and divide the distance from the take off point to the impact, usually holding the camera still at about 3/4 of the way from point to point, I don't pan, just close one eye and wait till the machine is centered or a little before center. It helps to get a cool shot when my bro is going 50 plus mph off a hundred plus ft. distance jump. I was pretty excited to capture both air pics, here was my favorite from last year.

That is the famous Cycle Therapy Tim

I was following Tim with a helmet cam right before he went off the drop, I knew it was there but he has only been up there twice and learned that you have to always no where you are out on the big mtn. It can get you hurt real fast. Glad he was ok, he said he is real sore today but wrenchin hard and excited to ride again.

McC, Are you the same Cailin that used to race Moto-X with us? Im EricW from Kettle Falls. Haven't seen ya in a long while and your name can't be all that common. If its you, hope all is well. EW

Uhhhh.....BTW what are you riding?

Cailen sends another machine off the waterfall

Thanks for the guided tour Cailen! At least you helped me dig out.HaHa
Fun day, wish the sun came out a little more. The 2-moto didn't like the crust on top of 3 feet dry corn. Great pics! Next Monday!
