The Trouble Free Thread

230 miles, no issues lots of snow in forecast so will have many more by next weekend. Best stocker sled ever build!

LOL in all honesty?? I came off of 99 RMK 700 last couple years. HUGE giant leap. But have spent some time on an 09 xp, 11 M8, 09 dragon and also had a crack at a 2013 turbo HCR last weekend. How I look at it is this, 2011 and 2012 pro RMK was the top dog.... we have some great innovative advancements here in the 13 sled. Yes we are having some issues with the shaft. I firmly believe any belt issues are are direct result of operators not adhering to break in procedures. Every year each manufacturers bring better sleds to the table. I often wonder what the sleds will be like ten years from now. At some point we have to reach a point where we climax in regards to technological advances... but we are not there yet. Perhaps I shouldn't come on here saying best stock sled ever built as it is all a matter of opinion. Really liking the sled though.

Two 2013 Pro 800's, 46.5 break-in miles and not a problem except we need more snow. Machines felt great, took it pretty easy up to 30 miles and then got more agressive. Momentary full throttle but never held it there - no hard pulls from a dead stop. Driveline and QD belt both look as they should. Very happy with the sled.

As a 2012 Cat Proclimb owner, we had the same doom and gloom threads last year. Good to see a thread like this on the Poo side keeping the focus on fun, whether the issues are exaggerated or not.

Remember that a bad day sledding is still a day sledding! Seems to be the stories we remember with laughter years latter are where we got towed, got stuck, or broke anyway. And we all ride different makes so we can rib each other. Now dont tell anyone on the Proclimb forum I was on here. Lol

Btw - 12" of baseless snow here and my sled is still in project phase!

2013 pro 155 only 56 miles but everything is perfect! Really like the running boards, huge improvement over 11/12

Snowchecked 2011 Pro 163." 2 seasons ~1,400 miles trouble free. Only warranty claim was they warrantied my running board extrusions, as they were slightly bowed. For what it's worth, I bowed these on all my past sleds and would have NEVER changed them if they weren't on warranty.

I like to ride pow and trees, so lots of WFO. I have towed dead sleds with it and ride 2-up with my girl semi-often (to all the same places depending on conditions). Have never over heated it....although I'm always diligent with using scratchers on the roads and kicking snow in on all sleds. Best sled I've owned, def would buy again.

Now this is more like it. All positive.

Stone

All good news here as well.... my 2011 Assault has never had an issue, pulled the top end to check pistons/cylinders, they were in excellent shape but since it's apart I gave it a light hone and a new set of pistons... took it for a short run today and good to go, also put about 15 miles on my 2013, 163 Pro Retro today, so far so good.... not much of a test but will wait for more snow before it gets too many more miles... will ride the Assault in the mean time!!!!

My 2012 has run flawlessly so far, about 700 miles. Drove it into the shop thursdsay night and took the plasma cutter to it. Installed a set of airframes with rivets and Lord's adhesive. I am just waiting for snow now.

I loved my '11 and my '12 both have been rode hard and put away wet and no problems. Great sleds . Very happy and might still buy a '13 even with all the drama.

66miles on mine no problems. First 35 were easy breakin and the last 30 were as hard as I could push it. Full cat walks coming out of ditch into fields. Also PA head and clutch kit. This thing is snapy.

The sky is falling

So this is how this is going to go down. We have all seen enough of the negative posts on failure, theories, and fixes, for things that no one even knows to be "epidemic issues". Lets see some positive posts about trouble free riding. So post your sled, mileage, and type of riding you've been doing. If you have pics or videos to support it throw them in as well

I myself am currently riding a 2013 Red LE Pro RMK 800, right now at the 200 mile mark.

Last night I pulled it into the shop to do an inspection, focusing mostly on the "problem areas". I didn't find a thing wrong.

Belt drive looked goon and clean, no stripped cogs, no stress marks, just like it did at 0 miles.

Drive shaft had no missing glue, no sign up shaft spinning on the cap, no wear marks.

As for riding, its been 200 miles of pounding ditches, jumping approaches, and wide open field riding in the flatlands. All of the things everyone seems to say this system was not designed for. The only problems encountered were a track ratchet from a new track stretching out, and some DET codes that I have addressed in a different thread, seen here:

Other than that, its all been good

video link if youtube every finishes:

belt drive pic, 200 miles: poor pic quality, but there is nothing missing

1300miles on my 11 assault with nothing wrong, love my sled and what it can do totally beats the heck out of my heavy old apex mtn.
