The rumors are true...

Yep, I was skeptical myself after reading horror stories of belt drives and driveshaft failures but after 3 hard days of riding and a couple add ons, I think the 2013 PRO is the best machine on the mountain. I was in the Snowys for 3 days and put on 178miles. For anyone who was out there this weekend and rode, they knew it was deep up north around "K" and south on "H". This sled did everything I wanted too! I rode with a 2012 ski doo, 2013 M8 and a Dragon, all had nothing but grins coming off my sled.

NO belt drive failures (proper break in)
NO driveshaft failres (Happy Face Clamp)

Even before I had a mile on my sled, I put in RKT drop in kit (pistons and head 13.5 domes)

SLP Pipe/Can
PVC with SLP Stage 4 mapping (spot on over 10,000ft)
MDS Clutching 68grams pulling 8200 on climbs/trees and 8500 on trails
Purple/Black Secondary...Green/Black Primary

This is the same setup Jeremy at Outdoor Equipment is running on his sled (The Dominator Kit, minus clutching)

I would like to say thank you too: Jeremy, Kelsey, and Steve for helping me get this setup perfect before I even left my house.

Cant wait to head out again!

How many miles

Do you typically put on in a year? I am interested in this set-up, but so far it is unproven in the long run. I am going to be stuck with my 11 for a while, but I want to be careful on what I do to it. Could you please go on about 6 more trips?:face-icon-small-hap

It would be nice to maintain this thread from your experiences and see how it holds up. Thanks for the report.

I plan on 6-8 more...I dont have douts as of yet why it shouldnt work all year.

I'm just finishing up an RKT piston/head freshen up on a 2011 Pro. I was thinking about putting on a take off SLP pipe/can/PC-V stage 3 set up I have sitting on a shelf. The stock reeds look good. I have the Vforce reeds that came out if the original kit and they look good also. What reeds did you use? Where did you get your mapping/clutching info.? Sounds like the thing to do. Also, are you running non syn oil like RKT states in their install sheet?

Stock reeds
Legend Oil
MDS Clutching...guessing at first then dialed it in after the first day

SLP Stage 4 mapping from Jeremy at Guys Outdoor Equipment in Lewiston, Idaho

what was the reason for stage 4 intead of 3? Reeds? You do not have porting and most seem to feel that SLP's mapping runs rich on average.

The sled is awesome no doubt about it but today at 210 miles blew a quick drive belt and yes it was broke in properly... full throthle tai walk accelerating rip 15 or so cogs out. In my mind there is no way it should have failed where it did.

The 2013 stock fuel mapping is leaner then the 11'&12' and combined with the changing head and pistons and pipe, it needs it...

my plugs look perfect with this mapping.

just stock reeds, Vforce arent the best IMO

Some of my pulls I was worried about the belt...the picture that shows me climbing I only had about 60miles on the belt and I was full throttle until thr top

I knew going out there with one belt was a mistake so I had a spare incase.

I pulled them on the top of the hill after a climb. No pics, if I pulled them now they would look different obviuosly...sorry

It strong throughout the entire power band

haven't had a chance to get on here in the last couple weeks, glad to see your loving this set up as much as i am! as far as longevity goes... time will tell but i'm getting close to the 1000 mile mark now, and expecting to put on at least another 1000 before the seasons over
