The perfect boot...

I started out years ago with the first version of HMK's, moved up to one of the first pair of Pro BOA's and loved them...except, my feet were soaked at the end of the day. Not from leaks, but from sweat. So this year I switched to the Klim Radium GTX. I love these boots. My feet stay warm and dry, great support, the sole allows great feel from the boards...except, once you use the BOA lacing system you never want to go back.

I've been talking to Brad at Klim about the possibility of adding the BOA system to the Radium GTX's. This, in my opinion would be the perfect boot. Please respond to this post so I can show that there is a demand for these boots.

my only concern with the boa system, is what happens if it snaps in the cold? with regular laces you can tie em together and make due, but with the boa system this would not be possible correct? I doubt it happens much, if at all, but I just have to wonder if it did, it could be a real problem. Just a thought.

4 new pair of boot in 6 seasons, always wet feet. Not cold, but not good.
many different kinds of socks

I am FINALLY HAPPY

the eyelets are going to eat laces
the running boards are going to kill them

but I have DRY WARM FEET

THANK YOU

Like the Klim boots, but would LOVE them with the boa system.....OR would love a HMK that wasn't as bulky, with the BOA system.....

I had the wheel break on my first pair of HMK BOA's, before they added the little deflector underneath the wheel. I didn't even notice 'til we got back to the truck. So even if the cable or wheel were to break, a little duct tape would keep ya going 'til you could get it fixed. That being said i've only had this one issue with the BOA system in about 4+ years of use.

While were making changes, the Adrenaline's perfect, except for the toe. The toe of the boot needs a full harder rubber coating. Kicking ice eats the soft covering too easy.

What he said. ^^^^^^

And I would definitely buy another pair tomorrow if they added the BOA system...I hate laces!!

I wear a pair of North Face boots with the BOA system. Paid $200 for them at Bass Pro shops. They are real nice boots. My feet stay dry and warm. There have 400 Gram thinsulate and fit and feel just like hiking boots. The model name is Prodigy. If you like BOA boots, check'em out.

Ive had tons of boots. last year had the klim boots and they are really good boots. no complaints other than they rubed on my leg and would make it hurt like hell after a long day of riding. I have found the best boots, hands down are baffin's. without a doubt, the most comfortable and dry boots I have ever had. just bought a new pair for this season with the twist up lacing thingy. much more support compaired to the klims as well.

So do the HMK's always get your feet soaking wet with sweat?

My old Klim Radiums are just about toast, hoping they last the rest of the season but -have- to get a new pair this spring/summer and am scoping out the alternatives.

+1 The Adrenaline boot is nearly perfect except for the lack of a Ninja ice kicker device...whatever that might be??:beer;

I work in a ski/snowboard shop. One of the board companies we carry is K2 which has the Boa system. In the past month I have had 3 people come in with problems with the cables. 2 had snapped, and the third was down to only on strand left, the others had broken. I do not know how tight they were tightening them down, but I am guessing alot. The other companies may be a different style, but since the are called BOA, I doubt it. Just throwing this out there.

I also always had wet feet with my HMK's and switched to the Klim Radium GTX's this year and agree it's the best boot I've ever owned. Warm AND dry feet...all the time. Love them.

The BOA cable has an obnoxious test(lbs). The only problem I have see(other than the original HMK's) was a cable misrouted from the factory. If you are worried about a cable breaking, carry a spare. The BOA replacement cable even comes with the allen wrench that you need to fix it on the trail.

I love my Klim boots adding the boa system would be the best, I'd buy a new pair just for the boa system, I could use the others as a back up, just in case pair, or at least thats what the wife would be told.
