Have you ridden the Cat 1100T? Wondering how the handling characteristics compare to the Viper. I really like the Viper but if it feels anywhere close to as heavy as the 1100T it probably isn't the sled for me.

Not sure if the Viper is the same length as the XF7000, but when I did a 153" swap on my XF7000 141" I had to swap out the tunnel extension for a Proclimb one.Looked at the Viper in the showroom today before I left and can't imagine a 153 fitting under there. Got any measurements? Or anybody try it?

The 141" tunnel section is 37.5" long while the 153" rear tunnel half is 42" long.
It's not to bad of a job to do, the 153" section even comes with all of the holes pre-drilled! You will also need a 153" bumper as well.
There are LOTS of rivets, so if you can come up with an air powered rivet gun that is the way to go.
There are 4 high strength rivets on each side where the drop brackets attach and also where the rear running board brace attaches to the running board edge, so you'll want to use the proper rivets at that location. For the rest of the rivets I just used stainless steel pop rivets.
I promise the pic of a 2014 Viper sitting next to a 2014 M8 153 in the above post is not photoshopped.....lol. Standing next to the truck they look the same length. Our 153 will be going on the Viper this week or next and I can find no reason to extend a tunnel that is the same length as the 2014 M8 153. I can see that the tunnel protectors must go but we don't run studs in our tracks anyways.
Here is a pic of the Viper with stock track sitting on my sled deck next to my 153 inch track 2014 M8. Sitting side by side the tunnel is exactly the same.
That photo doesn't really help for comparing tunnel length. Especially if one is only a couple inches shorter in the tunnel. And there is no way the Viper has a different tunnel length than an XF7000. So the viper tunnel will not be the same rear portion as an M8. Close but not quite. However you may still be able to stick a 153" skid in there and it will work maybe with the flap trimmed a bit?
