The official Mt Baker report Dec 1st 2010

Well I don't know were everybody was today, but that's ok it only took the two of us, Paolo and myself about 15 minute to break across the last creek crossing and up on to the plateau past Peanut Knob. From there we tore up the sulfer side and then headed up to Hood Hill and up to Baker Pass. The light wasn't all that great, but we still managed to go through a tank of gas. Polaris should be proud because these sleds ripped. If u go up, stay off the steep- sulfer slid on us and was about a 2 and a half foot slab break. First time I have seen that in almost twenty years of sledding Baker. So Railroad side and up at Big House I am sure will slide if u put a sled on it.:face-icon-small-coo GAME ON!

We also have a riding group we started on facebook- feel free to join it! (only if you think you can keep up!)

:first: Hey somebody had to be first, good for you two to put in the effort just to give US the report, oh and have some fun doing it. I gotta say pretty Ballszy this time of year when things are filling in, and not great light, but you've been there a few times in twenty years and know what to look for and what to stay away from, although we know it never is the same from one year to the next. Way to blaze the trail, but now that you've popped the cherry everybodies sure to follow (be careful guys, you did hear him mention slides). Thanks for the pic's, glad you're happy with your new sled, cheers.:beer;

Parking???

How far did you make it up the road? The first pic looks like the Y.

Thanks for breaking trail, I might be heading up Thursday.

We did park at the y. There's about 8 to 10 inches there. Four feet at the bridge to the meadows. The last creek is almost all covered,that freeze we had a couple weeks ago really helped with that and uptop there is plenty of coverage. But like I said in the first post stay off the steep if you want to come home

Nice Pics!

Never seen Baker slide like that either...

Was that Dan's other Demo??:pound:

You guys are dead to me!

Ask Randy when he is going to put in the handicap access to the salad bowl for us gimpies? First year in many that I wasn't with you ****ers breaking the knob and it makes my head hurt even worse!

Stay safe....I've been cleared to go ride some meadows in the next few weeks but probably can't hit the heavy riding until new years:(

reTodd what'd you do slip and fall down in the snow and crack yer head?

In the last 4 weeks I have had 2 concussions, a cracked rib, a severely bruised hip bone and a broken writst (all from mt Biking). Then, apparently I blacked out at the huskies game and fell straight backward and cracked my head and was unconscious and bleeding from my nose and ear. Have bleeding in the brain as well as bruising. Spent 3 nights in Harborview ICU. Not a happy boy lately stuck on the couch with a headache and they docs tell me it could be 4-6 weeks and if I strain myself by pushing too hard it could cause the bleeding in my brain to come back. So, I'm looking to ride some wide open easy carvy meadows until I get better.
