The Natives are Restless.

It finally feels like summer's back is broken. There's a crispness in the air. The Cutthroats are gobbling up hopper patterns like popcorn. The Bulls are starting to bugle. The mountain bike trails are PRIME. There's a new toy in the garage and the tinkering has begun. Gearing down. Re-clutching. Cleaning exhaust valves. Removing any extra weight. Checking connections. Drinking beer while sitting in the garage looking at said new toy. You know what I mean. Fall is awesome. It's coming.

Here are some pics from last year to fire you guys up. Let's see what you've
all got!

TUdizzle- I see you are using the GOPro- Is it the HD? and what do you use for a hand cam?

I use a Contour 1080HD (available from Zachcreek here on SW) helmet cam

My hand held is a Canon HF200

How do you come to this conclusion?

Tudizzle- my conclusion was based on one of the pictures in this thread. Your video qualty is high and clean. You must have a good helmet cam. I use the gopro and I was wondering what settings you where using. Sorry if I came up with the wrong conclusion. Is your Canon in a waterproof case?

You just sounded so sure so I was wondering. I think Corpeleven does though?:face-icon-small-win

No I don't keep the Canon in any special case...just a small 20$ carrying case and toss it in the pack. Not a real expesive camera but good enough for my needs.

Yep, I'm using the GoPro HD. Love it. Mostly shoot in 720 but sometimes 1080. I always use the water(anything)proof case. Had it completely covered in black mud from Area 62 mountain biking on Sunday, just hose it off when you get home and yer good to go again. Excellent quality and extremely durable.

Sweet footage-Looks like u ride some cool stuff-Is that area motorized? It also looks like your GoPro is in the R4 setting-I use this setting alot aswell, but the sides of the video get distorted-This seems to make fast sections of trail seem even faster in the video. I'm wondering if I can change a lens(outside case) and cut down on the distortion? Also if you ride Sidewinder I would love to see the footage!

Nice ride vid, but the pic from the gopro always looks too much fisheye IMO

Have you seen the new contour w/ gps? will track speed and elevation.

sweet bike vid here...click on the video mapping vid link showing the bike

Looks like a great cam, what do they cost? I have tried the bullet cam,Vholdr and now the gopro. Each one had good and bad points. Does yours down load on windows 7 or does it have it's own software?

I use it with windows7 and it does comes with some editing software.

the contourgps is on preorder only right now for like 350$
