A few months ago I came across I fellow around 75 years old ...he was a little bent in the head department..

he has a bicycle that he doesn't ride but pushes ...everywhere ..because he is overloaded with the things that he needs in life ...everything that he has or owns is on him ...clothes,notebooks, ten to twelve layers of everything

he is a little mental to say the least ..every time I see him he is on his way to edmonton to see his brother ....

every time I see him I stop and give him water and a sandwich.........the last time I seen him he was going about 1 mile an hour heading sout with his whole world on his back and bike ....

when I came back from Edmonton I went by him at about 60 miles an hour I recognized who it was and back a tractor trailer up over a mile to see him ..I gave him some home made cookies that I made ......before then I gave him a sandwich ,water and even at one time a hundred dollar bill .....this fellow has no home , no family and is just some poor guy that slipped between the cracks ..........

is there anybody else out there that goes the extra mile for people like this ..

oh and PS Ray from Kaltire need not apply ...

ya well ...out here there are no streets ,,,,,just miles and miles of bush ........Moose and Bears...........they have plenty of issues but tough as nails ..those fooks from the city wouldn't last an hour

We have a guy here in town that pushes a bike and never rides it also. we also have one guy that thinks he is a boxer and shadow boxes everywhere. another guy that thinks he is a third base coach and stands in the middle of traffic signaling me to steel home plate, another guy that must have wicked teretts and yells out demonic crap all the time, and another that will preach to you that the labels on the back of food boxes is just a ploy to distract you from the bad stuff that will kill you. Last but not least is my favorite of our homeless neighbors is the guy that has long drugg out arguments with himself. I could watch that crap for hours.

Picked up one homeless dude that got drunk, fell and bashed his head. He told me he was out for a walk because his other homeless buddy pi$$ed on him while they where sleeping. He said he always pees the bed when he drinks. Imagine how hard that was not to laugh.

this guy...big white boots..had a little caboose on the back...well he makes it out our way Mike about every two weeks...sometimes only 10 miles out of town...sometimes almost all the way to Judas Creek..yep he never peddles..just sits and pulls the bike forward with the huge boots and big parkas..he will go 30 miles in a couple days...fire in the ditch at night...then somehow he gets taken back to Whitehorse...anyway he was fairly famous with truckers in Alaska...i don;t think he really has a brother in Edmonton...story is he is American and made it across the border somehow into Canada via Alaska few years back and has no identification so he could not return across the border...he does the odd job and is not quite as old as he lets on..has a few interesting valuables in his collection as well....
