Sounds sweet, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut that guy riding the boosted Doo effed up. Wasn't the sled that lost, it was the rider.

looked like the 1640 was still pulling length on him at the top of the hill, but the doo would have had a better chance if he didnt launch the catwalk

I would have to agree, the doo never pulled him back in at all.

Brad let off to avoid the damage of hill speed and control that first cat walk offered. Every year, one of the two cat walks gets someone if all they know is WFO.
The Doo never had a chance even if the cat walk was not an issue.

This is a 1640 we are talking about here folks.... 350 hp and over 200lbs of torque ...NOW.... no lag... all three hundred ponies instant, and the big torque numbers is what gets it done in the hills.

My 1200 smoked every turbo 800 I lined up with. They just couldn't get it done agains the wimpy 265HP triple. The modern twins, like the Etec is making more power out of the box and when you include a good boost system with EFI, they are, IMHO, making more power than the old twins of the carb days.... still not enough to get around the MAD COW 1640 billet motor!!!!

Jay that is the baddest azz coment ever. I love it. I will take that as a compliment.

Brad

Your welcome, it was meant as a compliment. How are you guys getting the 1640cc displacement? Are you using cylinders you make yourself?

He uses a huge cast cylinder. He bore's & plates it to his specs for the piston he is gonna use. Everything else is billet machined! Bad A$$ setup...

See, now thetruth comes out. It's not your run of the mill BB triple, but rather a super uber 350 hp package, running against a run of the mill T-XP. most likely coming in at 220hp.

Still a pretty sweet sound and one hell of a good running sled.
