the great debate

with the season drawing to a close, its time to think about next year, and I would like to buy a new sled. I didnt get to do even close to the amount of riding I wanted to do this year. and would like to make up for that next year by having an all around great sled. I have been looking at a new rev xp, but Ive been told to stay clear. I love my cat and would like to get into a new M8. so whats up am I looking in the right direction or should I be looking else where? I love riding big Mtn, I live in Montana.

The M8 is a dependable sled.
The motor is no where near it's potential at 140hp. Some minor changes and it really picks up.
The new chassis looks good.

The best bet would be to hit a test ride or 3. Ride em and see what you think.

i have an m8 very happy with it they boondock like no other sled in the market. i find the xp is like being on a sheet of plywood. i didnt like the stock power the m8 put out so i now have a turbo on my sled and its crazy but you dont have to turbo it to have fun with the sled. clutching pipe and y pipe along with timbersled intake and the boondocker box and i think you would be happy.

Tell your girlfriend to quit controling your life and allow you to sled on the weekends with the rest of us. Only going three days this year and living in Montana is unacceptable. Keep the sled you have and find a new girlfriend, probably cheaper and definitely an easier way to get in more riding days.

I felt the same way you did about the XP until I did some research. I ended up snowchecking an 09 XP. I don't think you can go wrong with the M8 or the RMK. All are solid machines. Whatever you get, make sure you have a good dealer. Since there's a good Doo dealer where I ride, I felt comfortable with the XP.

Good luck in your decision.
