The future of revolutionizing snowmobiling.

Hi to all snowhawkers, it's great to be posting on here since I haven't been on here for so long. This post is on the o so awesome topic of how snowhawks are going to revolutionize this snowmobiling world. My feelings are that at any second now, the snowhawks are going to become lighter, faster, more powerful, and the snowhawks will be recognized as the epicenter of snow sports. Many people see and have been stunned by freestyle motorcross which spun off into freestyle snocross. Know if you think the way I do, you realize that the snowhawk would make more of a dirtbike impression in the fsx world. Many of use have had the privilege of witnessing and riding with some incredible riders like Cailen Mccurdy(user name mccbrothers), Tony Sexton(user name snowhawk addict), and Ryan Donnough(user name Poacher{thats sick}) and many others. These riders have pushed the snowhawk to the limits and also have advanced the snowhawks popularity and reputation over the years. The one thing I cant push enough is that the limits are unlimited. You will never find the limits of these machines and riders. The engines of these riders are turbo charged with nitro boost and are ready to take a challenge. I look up to many people like Tony for mechanical knowledge and Mccurdys for wicked riding skills. I personally want to see a snowhawk at the winter x games or more specific ,freestyle snocross. I want to see a million replys to this post of mine on your opinions of how the snowhawks will advance in this huge pool of imagination. Thanks to Tony and Tammy for changing my life in many ways that will last an eternity. To Cailen Mccurdy(or the Mccurdy brothers racing), if you sponsorships or help of any type, I would like you to look at sponsorship.loopd.com for support from companies. Thank you for reading to all the snowhawkers in this awesome community of friends.;)

Thank you Noah.

While many Twoskis continue discussing politics, rep, and other fine relevant topics on this snowmachine forum the Oneski world is growing.

The Snow Hawk group has grown by three or more this summer, how ever they found us looking for tech. or just luck, welcome.

Now there is a Snow Bike specific area here which I have been watching, Adrenalinjunkie, Off Road Rider, and a few other kit riders from here have done their part to stir up interest and keep things on top.
I'm still glad it is on it's own so it's progress can be watched. http://www.snowest.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=178

If you know someone who has a Hawk or kit and is not aware of the forum try to convince them to participate.

Thumpertalk has many threads related to the Oneski.

http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/ search Snow Hawk, 2Moto, AD Boivin, etc.

In October the 17-19th http://www.wssa.us/Expo/expo.htm
This is the tradeshow we have had a booth at for the last three years, we get much support from the organizers because they see the potential draw of users the Oneski's will bring to their event, over 10,000 people come to this.

Every year I ask new and old riders to participate by spending time in the booth nametag included and talk to the curious folks. There are soo many that stop by and then there are the ones that I hear out of the corner of my ear saying to their wife or buddy "I'm gonna try one of those sometime."
Maybe if you reside elsewhere you and your group could do likewise at your local show.

It's only going to grow from here.:face-icon-small-coo

Amazing.

I'm sure there will be other mockers, but this one's for you Mule!

You sir happen to own a new to you KTM525 which you just got this spring. Done much research on the history and rise of the manufacturer you praise on a daily basis? Do you realize that in the early 90's as you were a teen KTM was sellling under 10,000 bikes world wide, much less as you go back towards the Penton years? Someone had to believe in that product those early dealers/enthusiests that held on even though nimrods just like you said it would never happen.

I can still hear my brother back in 96' when I bought my RXC620, "They can't keep that quality up and compete with my Japanese bike." He's on his fourth KTM now.;) Then again when I bought my first Hawk, "What are you going to do when you come to a stop, put the kickstand down!?!" He's had his Hawk for four years now.

My brother's negativity just like yours just concretes my belief in something I enjoy, it tells me i'm on to something. That was proven last summer when he could'nt take his "look at me" Harley on a eight day dualsport/street tour with some friends. He borrowed my BMW R1150GS, the third one I've owned in nine years which he mocked the first back in 2000. He bought one five days after his trip, the Harley has a lot of dust on it!:D

Our forum growing is good no matter how small.:)

Shrinking can be good if it's a tumor!:p

The way I see it… Besides the fact that this is the best machine on snow…

Sorry Tony but I don’t think the Snow-Hawk is that much of a growing sport, especially when you throw numbers like : “ 4 or so new units made last year at a price tag of who really knows how much” … The used units just get sold to other people… I think “growing” must involve more machine sold to 2 ski riders who are bike/motocross riders in the summer and are not aware that they’re truly missing the ride of their life. And that growing should come from a desire from the factory to do so. Further R&D & test the machine (or just listen to the rider’s R&D : WhistlerHawk’s pivot relocation, the fix I came up with for the 12Gal Tank, Whitesurf’s cooler, CJGodeen’s chain drvie… ). No matter how hard we try, it will never grow the way we want it when new machine (that almost need a complete tear down & rebuild just to work right) retails for 20 grands. Start selling some 550F at 8800$ and the basic 800 Enduro Model with all the rider’s update on it for 12K and NOW we start ”Revolutionnizing”.

BUT, before the Snow-Hawk came there WAS A LACK OF SOMETHING IN THE SNOW INDUSTRY/Snow sports. I didn’t want to fight 2 wheels like quad guys are still doing, I was a motocross racer looking for some kind of a work out to do in the winter. The one ski machine, in my case a 503 Snow-Hawk WAS the solution and I had such a blast with this machine.

Now, I think they truely had their chance of putting it on the map but for many different reasons and the fact that they’re based in Quebec didn’t made them realize that they needed to hit the mountain market… before 2008 when the longer track Hawks became available (with wrong jetting, wrong clutching, wrong belt drive system, wrong suspension…). I’ve had my ’08 mtn Hawk since sept of ’07 and I’m still working on it to get all the bugs out of there ! What’s wrong here !!!

Now the term Revolutionnizing ? Did the Hawk revolutionize snowmobiling ? Can a 2 wheel motorbike revolutionize the quad industry ? Did the Can-Am Spider 3 wheeler revolutionize the sport bike industry… I don’t think so. It’s a different sport. Like Bowling and Motocross, they’re just different. But people must be aware of what’s available and what would better fit their riding style / background.

If a sled guy rides Motocross in the summer and thinks quad sucks (for all the reasons why a quad sucks versus a motorcycle), then he’s not on the right machine in the winter time. IT IS THAT SIMPLE.

Will we, Snow-Hawk riders, come up with a new updated one-ski product ? I personally think we can pull it off. I’ve been building mtn bicycles out of scratch for more than 6 years now. Nothing that I can’t build myself on the Hawk except body parts and engine. There’s enough knowledge and contacts in this forum that it would really be not that much of a big deal to come up with a better product than ADB. All it takes is a guy to throw a load of money at “us” and we can do it. We would then make the real revolution happen, hire a bad-äss MX freestyler for photo shoots and send him to the X-Games. Every kid from 5 to 75 on earth will want the machine.

motobike vs. twoski

:confused:how come all the top snox racers ride/race moto and not quads??? why do 1skis suck at snox if there more like a bike??? when will i get to ride w a pro 1ski guy so he can show me the light??? imo when you guys step it up and do somthing impresive only then will your sport grow:beer; until then shut up, go do it, video it, and put it on here for all to see:eek: and no more of this puttn thew the spread out trees bs!:p

Right back at you:

Or rep I recently received from one of your very own fellow one-skis:
Thanks for the green and thats some funny chit. Poacher is actually a pretty good guy in person but he and SHA need to STFU on the forum. It just makes the rest of us look bad.

Sure, they're fun.... but they're not for everyone. I think that's the part you're missing.

Some people like golf, tennis, nintendo, shopping, baseball... not for me. Live and let live.

I could care less if anyone ever shows you the light.. Be happy and ride whatever you want, your the one missing out, some here want to increase ridership for the hawks, myself on the other hand just want a few guys to ride with and some parts support, that could be a reason that other Hawk riders feel we need to get a larger rider base. If your not Impressed by some of the riding that Mcbros have shown, you must be a fn superstar..

I have to agree with off road rider, I really don't care if you think snow hawks suck. I know I won't ride anything else on the snow. I will let anybody try it anytime I'm on the hill, just ask. I do know one thing for sure, riding one for 5 min is not going to give you a good idea if you have the mindset to own one. I would say 1 out of 20 make it more than 50 feet before flopping over on there side the first time on one. The question is do they get up and try again or do they give up. the guy that try's again and again and again and does not want to get beat by a machine is the kind of guy that will learn to ride and see first hand what we are talking about. The guy that wants it easy, wants to rip around and not put any thought or effort into actually riding should stick to his sled. I'm not saying that there are not guys out there that can ride the holy livin chit out of a sled cause there are but they put alot of years on the snow and make the machine do what they want it to. If we could get someone like burant or rassmuson(sp?) to actually put some effort and dedication ( like they did to learn to ride a sled they way they can) into riding a snow hawk that was setup properly I know people would be impressed.

I have to say every where I ride sledders stop and ask questions, park at the bottom and watch me ride, Say things like "wow I didn't think they went that good" and that is part of owning a snow hawk. If you don't like them, don't ask questions, don't watch me ride, and most of all keep your uneducated opinion to yourself. Because opinions are like A**holes everbodys got one and most of them stink.
