Just finished the 100 mile break in on my stock 09 D8 with the fix. For some reason could only hit 7800 in 1' of fresh at 10,000 with (08 flash, 10 head, and 58 grams) was hitting 8100 same conditions and set-up with a PCV Dtech 157 map and no fix kit. So I think I'm going to tweak the 157 map and see if I can pick up some RPMS. I other thing I wonder if I should changes my plugs with all that break-in oil in the gas might of fouled them a little. See new map below and make any suggestion thanks

wow i rode mine at 10,000ft w/ 64gram and got 7950rpm in deep snow.
send me your email and i will send you the map i made on dyno for 08 flash runs awesome on my sled.

i have a 2010 rmk 800 stock besides the fix, going to limp mode every few mins, would it help if i ran a 08 flash?

I would likely try another ride without the oil in the gas.
Something to think about- you may be making less power. The 08 flash with 10 head may be the issue. I heard when they went to the lower compression head they ran more timing. This is something I am not sure about so it would pay for you to check into it before you pull your hair out chasing the rpm issue.

Thanks- I will check into to the timing question-I changed plugs and belt had 1/2 of the oil still in the fuel and the sled hit 8000 on straight powder pulls. Wound not hold 8000 on hard carves or hills. I'm going to give this map a try and see what it does. I hope I'm still Ok to lean it out on top with the 08 Flash? Jim at dyotech said this 08 flash is lean in the mid and fat on top.

Did you have the 08 flash in before the fix or after.I have a 2010 with the original flash and fix kit, breaking it in at 700ft and it works ok.I am putting on 13.6 pa head and going to Island Park.PMS said to get the 08 flash, after reading your problem I don't know what to do.I also have a pc v but have not put it on
(not sure what map to run)if I go with 08 flash.Any suggestions.

Thank you.

I would put the PCV back on, the fix does not cure the lean problems.

The map I posted worked great- on the top and mid-range. Kinda fat down low make a grugly sound around 4500. Pulled 8000 to 8100 in the powder uphill at 11,000 ft. Later in the day the sled had a occasional stumble after hard pulls. Odd that it would run great then have a stumble then great again.

Bottom end seems like a good starting point, without being too lean. Reading number in the low 13s for the A/F down there.

Looks like you took the bottom end of the other map and used it. There are a couple of 10s in the 4500 rpm /5% throttle range that could maybe be toned down.

Maybe however, the Pyro's and AFR's tell a much, much different story with comparable mapping to the 2010 update. When I get time, I will post an indepth thread about my findings. They were very shocking to say the least.

Interesting to say the least, looking forward to reading that.

OK-Test Map 2 reduced Lowend- Hope this takes care of the rich zones
This is the two maps side by side-the first one is the new map and the second one is the one I tested and thought was too rich on the lowend!

Not yet hopeful this weekend-still kinda worried about the random bog later in the day. Have you ever had a problem with City Market fuel? When you run your map please post it. If you have problems attaching it, email it to me and I will post it. How close is it to my second map?
