THE CREW on the Travel Channel

I passed through travel channel and saw this and I was like "No Way!" I've seen this before! very cool

I've watched this numerous times and what strikes me is right at the beginning of the slide he slides under those branches of that first tree and just pushes the one branch away from him ... .if he would have tried to grab on to it he may have been able to stop himself from being involved in it at all .. .at least that's how it works in hindsite . . ..

Fortunate story. Thanks for sharing.
Would have been nice if the production company would have foucussed on the training and equipment component of Backcountry riding. Not one mention of safety gear or preparation.

Glad you guys were able to ride another day.

True, and we spent much of our time going over that with them, showing how each piece works, how to properly put it on, how to use it, etc. Even had Craig Gordon of the Utah Avalanche Center with us on the shoot. He went up with us the day after the slide and surveyed the area. The producers spent 30 minutes interviewing him. I'm guessing safety doesn't sell. ;) 5 hours of interviews chopped down to 3 minutes. That T.V. for you.:face-icon-small-dis

safety doesn't sell on a show called "when vacations attack"?

They chose the most unusual things to cut in...like the guy in bright clothing...digging with his hands?
